As we are only a Western Australian service we are keen to have our members become address verified. It is a simple and FREE service offered to all Trade Away members. It helps to reassure other traders that you are who you say you are and improves the overall security of the site.
How to become Address Verified?
Step 1. Go to ‘My Account’ page, Click ‘Update My Details’ enter your details and click update. This has now added your ‘Contact Details’ to your personal profile in ‘My Account’.
Step 2. Now you have entered your details, they can be sent to us to be verified. So just wait, it will take a couple of days, so resume trading with your current status.
Step 3. In the next few days you will receive a letter from Trade Away. This letter contains your very own personal 'Address Verification Code'. The letter also explains how to enter your code.
Step 4. Once entered, your Trade Away membership is automatically upgraded to FULL membership status. Then you can then list and purchase BuyNow items and bid on a Reverse Auctions!
Your Full Member profile will display the little house icon, enabling other members to see you’re verified and that you support our safe trading ethics.
Benefits of becoming Address Verified
Along with members who have received lots of positive feedback, Address Verified traders are more trusted, than their non-verified counterparts.
Address verified members can list BuyNow auctions, non verified members cannot use this facility and only Address Verified members can bid on Reverse Auctions.
It’s your responsibility to maintain and update your personal information to ensure that it is kept current; Out of date information going to both buyers and sellers is of no use to either.
To up date your details simply click on ‘Up Date My Details’ in your ‘My Account.’ If you change your address, you will need to become Address Verified again.
